MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•B.Sc. Construction Management / B-Tech Civil / Similar qualification
•Minimum of 8 years’ solid experience in building projects. Preferably large-scale building / commercial projects
•SACPCMP registration: Pr.CM will be advantageous
•Valid Driver’s License

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
•Technical Aptitude – Construction Methodology, Comprehensive under-standing of Drawings & Specifications
•Contractual Aptitude – Solid understanding and experienced with Principal and Subcontract Agreements, JBCC, NEC, GCC, JBCC
•Programming Competencies – CCS
•Financial Aptitude – Fair Understandings of B.o.Q’s and Rates
•Good communication and people skills
•Results driven
•Good negotiating skills
•Attention to detail
•Ability to work independently
•Team player with an ability to identify challenges and develop solutions

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Management of production schedule and corrective action should delays occur
•Plan, delegate and organize the daily work program, giving guidance, exercising control over all aspects of the work of subordinates and sub-contractors
•Co-ordinate and manage all resources such as staff, plant and materials to meet daily production schedule
•Set production targets and monitoring work progress
•Appoint and manage sub-contractors
•Plan, order and control material and equipment
•Plan, order and control plant and equipment
•Keep accurate records of back up documents of approved certificates
•Cost control – daily and weekly costing and submission of monthly cost reports
•Lead regular site meetings - health and safety meetings and meetings with various technical experts like surveyors.
•Manage and update relevant site administrative duties
•Maintain high level of safety and adherence to all safety policies and procedures of the company as well as any additional requirements from the client
•Ensure that quality standards / ISO standards are met and the necessary policies and procedures are implemented
•Ensure the timeous completion of the contract on a cost-efficient and profitable basis.
•Reporting to Area/Contracts Manager and Professional Team
