Our client requires the services of a Quantity Surveyor responsible for cost management and analysis of projects in the Northern region.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•B. Tech Quantity Surveying / B.Sc. Quantity Surveying or similar
•Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction / building
•Proficient in CCSESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
•Analytical skills
•Good negotiating skills
•Attention to detail and accuracy
•Ability to work independentlyRESPONSIBILITIES
•Cost planning
•Estimating / prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
•Cost Analysis
•Cost-in-use studies
•Value Management to establish a project budget / Risk management
•Preparing and review of valuations for monthly claims via measuring from drawings and on-site measuring.
•Reviewing and finalizing final accounts.
•Ensuring the recording of site information for site instructions issued by the resident engineer.
•Reviewing progress quantities for the progress claim and for evaluating the progress of work.
•Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
•Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks.
•Contractual claims.
•Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use.
•Manage junior / site-based Quantity Surveyors
