Purpose of Role
As a graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team of our client on commercial, industrial and tenant-installation projects, developing your estimating, measurement, cost control and contract administration skills under mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the measurement and quantification of work packages from drawings and specifications.
Support preparation of cost estimates, bill of quantities (BoQ) and tender documentation.
Monitor project budgets and cost performance; assist in value engineering opportunities.
Help track subcontractor payments and validate invoices.
Assist in contract change controls, variation reporting and risk registers.
Attend site periodically for measurement verification, progress sampling and cost checking.
Maintain commercial records, cost reports and support monthly commercial reviews.
Liaise with QS team, site staff, and subcontractors under supervision.
Participate in tender analyses, subcontractor pricing comparisons and bid evaluations.
Requirements
BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) (non-negotiable).
Strong academic record; recent graduate or up to 2 years’ experience.
Familiarity with measurement methods, standard forms of contract (e.g., JBCC) is beneficial.
Proficient in MS Office; any exposure to QS software is desirable.
Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills.
Willingness to travel to site as required and work within a construction environment.
Driver’s license is advantageous.
