About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly detail-oriented Finishing Foremen to join our team on a prestigious 5-star hotel renovation project in Gauteng. The ideal candidates will have strong finishing experience, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to uphold luxury-grade quality standards. A background in carpentry or woodwork will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all finishing trades on site, ensuring work is completed to a 5-star standard.

Coordinate day-to-day finishing activities including ceilings, partitions, doors, skirtings, cabinetry, joinery, painting, tiling, and general fit-out.

Conduct detailed quality checks and snag management to ensure flawless completion.

Supervise subcontractors and ensure work is aligned with specifications, drawings and project timelines.

Monitor progress, report on daily activities, and escalate issues promptly.

Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.

Collaborate closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to ensure seamless execution.

Ensure all finishes adhere to the client’s luxury standards and specifications.

Minimum Requirements

Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman on high-spec or luxury projects.

Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to quality.

Carpentry or joinery background highly advantageous.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Strong leadership and coordination skills.

Ability to manage multiple finishing trades simultaneously.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Available for a 6-month limited duration contract.
