Our client, a consulting engineering firm based in Cape Town, is seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technologist/Engineer to join their team. If you believe you meet the requirements outlined for this role, they welcome your application.
The purpose of this job is to produce technical deliverables and to be part of the well-established team of Engineers and Technologists in the design, procurement, contract administration and construction monitoring of large-scale multi-disciplinary projects. The successful candidate will form part of an existing design office and will report to the Directors.
Responsibilities:
Design of civil services for municipal, commercial and industrial developments, including preparation of relevant documentation, and contract administration/monitoring
Produce technical deliverables for the design and implementation of roads, stormwater services, sewer services, water services, ducting services and bulk earthworks
Prepare Bills of Quantities and technical project specifications in line with the relevant SANS codes
Conducting site inspections and leading site meetings
Prepare as-built drawings and close-out reports
Develop innovative and cost-effective solutions to problems/challenges in
Interaction with Clients
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
B. Eng or B. Tech in Civil Engineering (Non-negotiable)
Must be registered as a Professional Engineering Engineer or Technologist or eligible to register within the next 12 months
Experience:
Minimum 5-10 years with specific Municipal Infrastructure Design and Building Environment experience a pre-requisite
Experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects
Competent with Civil Designer and AutoCAD
