An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced General Foreman to join a well-established construction team in the Western Cape. We are looking for a hands-on leader with strong site management experience, the ability to keep projects running efficiently, and a commitment to quality workmanship and site standards.
The ideal candidate will be confident managing teams on site, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining productivity, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Day-to-day management and coordination of site activities and labour teams.
Planning, organising, and managing site sources, materials, and sub-contractors to maintain programme.
Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
Driving site progress and reporting to the Site Manager / Contracts Manager.
Enforcing health, safety, and environmental compliance on site at all times.
Identifying, managing, and escalating site issues, risks, or delays proactively.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 7 - 10 years' experience in the construction industry - essential.
Proven experience as a General Foreman running building sites.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, sequencing, and site safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site instructions.
Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
Track record of delivering projects on time and to high quality,
