Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Buyer. This role plays a key part in our procurement operations, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality purchasing within the construction industry. You will be responsible for sourcing materials and services, managing supplier relationships, and contributing to project efficiency and cost control.

Key Responsibilities
· Manage the procurement of construction materials and services, ensuring best value in terms of price, quality, and delivery timelines.
· Assist with tender buying processes, evaluating supplier proposals and pricing structures.
· Negotiate contracts and maintain strong, productive relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
· Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and minimize risks within the supply chain.
· Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including pricing, supplier performance, and material availability.
· Use Xero and Hubdoc for processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.
· Collaborate with project and site teams to align procurement with construction timelines and budgets.

Minimum Requirements
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a procurement or buying role, preferably in the construction industry.
· Education: While not required, any tertiary education or training in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field is advantageous.
· Software Proficiency: Proficient in Xero and Hubdoc (non-negotiable).
