About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Contractor Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Paarl. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various construction projects, providing vital support in cost management, measurements, and reporting. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the built environment and eager to develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct site measurements and prepare accurate reports for different construction projects.

· Assist with cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting for ongoing projects.

· Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, and other project documentation.

· Manage and track project costs to ensure they remain within budget.

· Collaborate with contractors, developers, and other team members to ensure accurate cost control and reporting.

· Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and gather data for measurements and reports.

· Assist with the preparation of claims and valuations for work completed on-site.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Background: BSc or BTech in Quantity Surveying (non-negotiable).

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in the built environment, ideally with a developer or contractor.

Skills:

· Strong understanding of construction processes and cost management.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and reporting.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Proficient in relevant Quantity Surveying software (advantageous).

Key Competencies:

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

· Must be willing to travel to different sites for measurements and reporting.

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transport.
