About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Site Quantity Surveyor to join our team. Based in Roodepoort, the successful candidate will travel between multiple active sites in the Johannesburg–Pretoria corridor, managing cost control, project measurements, and client reporting. This is a key operational role that demands precision, accountability, and adaptability.

Please note:
This is not a conventional 8–5 role. Working hours are dictated by project demands, and occasional weekend work will be required. The role is deadline-driven, and the ability to operate effectively under pressure is essential.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare Bills of Quantities from drawings and specifications.

· Conduct feasibility and cost estimates aligned with client budgets.

· Perform regular on-site measurements and progress evaluations.

· Track project expenditure and maintain cost control procedures.

· Prepare interim valuations, claims, and manage payment certifications.

· Ensure alignment between project execution and financial targets.

· Liaise effectively with project managers, architects, and engineers.

· Maintain contractual compliance and assist in dispute resolution.

· Compile financial and progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

· BSc or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.

· 3–5 years of proven experience in the construction industry, ideally within tiling, ceilings, and partitions.

· Strong site-based measurement and cost reporting experience.

· Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and using MS Office.

· Excellent numerical and analytical skills with commercial awareness.

· Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

· Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transport for daily travel (~150km).

· Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
