Position Overview

Our clients are seeking a capable and driven Site Manager to oversee daily operations on high-performance roofing and building envelope projects. Based in either Johannesburg or Durban, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards — from start to finish.

This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership, planning, and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project specifications, drawings, and safety protocols

· Lead and coordinate technicians, subcontractors, and labourers

· Conduct regular quality checks and resolve site issues proactively

· Maintain accurate records of labour, materials, and project progress

· Uphold all health & safety regulations and conduct daily briefings

· Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely deliveries and quality workmanship

· Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients on site progress and any challenges

· Foster a positive, results-driven site culture focused on safety and client satisfaction

 

Requirements

· Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Manager in roofing, cladding, or related construction sectors

· Solid understanding of building envelope systems, installation methods, and applicable safety regulations (e.g. work at height)

· Able to interpret technical drawings and specifications

· Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organisational abilities

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Valid driver’s license

· Proficiency in basic construction software (advantageous)
