Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Junior Sales Representative to support our business development efforts and grow our footprint across Gauteng. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their sales career, ideally with some exposure to the construction or aluminium/glass industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing quotations and pricing of aluminium and glazing systems
  • Engage with architects, contractors, developers, and project managers
  • Attend construction site meetings and learn to interpret technical drawings
  • Provide tailored product advice based on project requirements
  • Follow up on leads, maintain CRM system updates and client pipelines
  • Offer basic after-sales service and relationship management
  • Participate in product and technical training as part of onboarding
  • Shadow senior staff for one month, after which independent client work is expected

This role is designed to grow into:

Junior Sales Rep → Senior Sales Rep → Account Manager → Business Development Manager

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • 0–2 years’ experience in a sales or construction-adjacent role
  • Basic knowledge of construction terminology and aluminium/glass systems
  • Matric or relevant post-school qualification advantageous

 Essential Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Client-focused with the ability to build trust
  • Proactive and self-driven with attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn technical product knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively

Tools of the Trade & Conditions

  • Own reliable transport is essential (no pool car available)
  • Petrol allowance available (subject to company terms)
  • Cellphone/data allowance (80% covered)
  • Tyre coverage: up to R1,500–R2,000 per tyre
  • No mechanical or cosmetic repairs or insurance covered – candidates must have their own cover
  • Vehicles must be fuel-efficient (no V6/V8 models; max 2L engine capacity)
  • GPS or activity tracking software may be implemented for client visit transparency

Additional Information

  • This is a 6-month fixed-term contract. Continued employment will be reviewed based on performance.
  • Commencement date is to be confirmed, subject to final internal approvals.
