Our client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor (BSc or BTech) with at least 7 years’ experience in the building repairs and maintenance sector, especially within facility maintenance, risk mitigation, and lifecycle planning.

Their firm offers multi-disciplinary consulting—incorporating project management, technical support, engineering, architecture, and construction management—focused on keeping buildings resilient, optimised, and cost-effective for our clients in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct onsite measurements and compile accurate Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for maintenance, repair, and refurbishment projects.

· Prepare detailed technical reports, cost estimates, tender documentation, and stakeholder briefings.

· Oversee the full tender and procurement process, including coordination with internal and external project stakeholders.

· Assist with the planning and implementation of maintenance strategies such as longterm 10year maintenance plans, defect identification, and insurance reinstatement support.

What You’ll Bring

· A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc or BTech).

· PrQS registration is optional but considered an advantage.

· Strong knowledge of typical structural and building defects in the South African local context.

· Experience working with JBCC contract documentation and tendering processes.

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and manage project reports.

· A problemsolving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work with multidisciplinary consulting teams.
