The Estimator is responsible for identifying tender opportunities, preparing accurate cost estimates, and ensuring profitability on projects. The role involves analysing data, blueprints, and documentation to determine resource, capital, and labour requirements for tenders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSc/B Degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.

  • 3–5 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying, Tendering, or related field.

  • Strong computer literacy (CCS, COLTO, SANS 1200, MS Office).

  • Valid driver’s licence, willingness to travel.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, resource schedules, and cash flows for tenders.

  • Research and scan tender platforms for opportunities.

  • Analyse prior tenders, drawings, and project documentation.

  • Maintain and report tender activity to management.

  • Mentor and manage junior tender staff.

  • Prepare subcontractor estimates and review tender submissions.

  • Advise on contract terms, risks, and compliance (GCC, CPG).

  • Implement cost control and value engineering solutions.

  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants.
