Purpose:
Operate the batch plant system to ensure accurate production and delivery of concrete according to client specifications, while maintaining quality, safety, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily plant inspections, start-up procedures, and stock level checks.

• Operate batching system (Batchman) to produce concrete per client orders.

• Conduct slump checks, cube tests, and ensure corrective actions when required.

• Monitor raw material usage, variances, and report to Quality Assurer.

• Dispatch trucks, issue delivery notes, and ensure signed documentation is returned.

• Maintain housekeeping of batching cabin and ensure mixer is cleaned daily.

• Adhere to ISO 9001 quality and ISO 45001 safety standards.

• Safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with lock-out procedures.

• Perform additional duties during breakdowns or when required by management.

Job Requirements:

• Matric qualification with 5 years’ batching/production experience.

• Knowledge of production planning and computer literacy.

• Own transport and flexibility to work overtime.

• Strong communication skills with ability to liaise across all levels.

• Ability to work under pressure, solve problems, and manage client expectations.

• Competent in stock control and daily reporting.
